The ABT vs DE:BUG Contest is finished and the new and official shirt for german music magazine DE:BUG is now up and for sale over at “A better tomorrow“.

VNA spend their spare time traveling around London documenting the growing “street art” scene. They photograph graffiti, stickers, paste-ups, stencils and other forms of vandalism and publish these images in a photo zine format. “We are kicking-off with the first in a series of limited edition typographic T-shirt designs.

For this series the main goal will be getting high quality t-shirts with fresh designs on to your beautiful bodies!

The first design to hit the streets is “Back Once Again“. Already a classic, this one is not only available in the original Black&White combo for Guys and Girls.

There is also a very limited summer-color version in Grey&Purple for the guys and Pink&Purple for the girls. 

A big plus is that, we made sure that the t-shirts are made from biological cotton and are emission and sweatshop free. So you get a good looking and great fitting Tee, which can be worn proudly”.

“Le nom est venu par hazard mais de façon plutôt naturelle finalement et reflète assez bien nos intentions sur se projet.

Sa consonance “hip hop” rappelle bien le coté urbain que nous souhaitons développé dans notre graphisme mais ça proximité avec le mot bastard laisse aussi des ouvertures à notre projet qui n’est pas arrêté.

Badstarz tente à être une marque de vêtement qui à pour particularité de proposer à tous créatifs de participer à son élaboration par le biais de battle graphiques rémunérés.

Il s’agit la d’un concours permanent rémunéré comme on peu déjà le voir, mais notre orientation est différente car nous souhaitons créer une marque à part entière avec des supports variés et pourquoi pas proposer la confection des vêtements aux créatifs s’ils le souhaitent.

Nous proposeront également d’autres battle sur des supports d’expression tel que des affiches sérigraphiées ou des objets ou comme en se moment la customisation de paper toy téléchargeable en ligne.

Des galeries sont aussi prévues sur le site avec la possibilité de commenter les créations afin de pouvoir donner son avis et échanger des idées”.

Maroma Design was founded by graphic designer Mara Behrens.

Mara, who is Venezuelan and lives in the US, has been art director of Harpers Bazaar Latin America and has done brochures for the Guggenheim Museum and the Smithsonian.

She opened the t-shirt store in 2008; Gabriel Sama, a Mexican native, did all the illustrations.

Gabriel has been drawing for years and some of the illustrations go back years.
