Fresh Produce Threads was founded by 3 musicians (1 singer/songwriter and 2 hiphop producers).

Alex, Fresh Produce Threads :

“Long before Fresh Produce Threads existed, we always referred to new music that we created as “fresh produce”.

Our designs are inspired by the imagery of music and its various cultures. We incorporate this musical imagery into artwork that also intertwines the traditional meaning of “fresh produce”.

We got our start selling handprinted shirts out of actual produce and vegetable crates at street markets/fairs and at local live rock/hiphop shows in the Washington DC area.

With more success, we were able to sponsor a few shows, and eventually we moved our produce online at Fresh Produce Threads and also on Alway surban. We still try to sell in our local market whenever possible”.
