The Faded Line Clothing Co

February 22nd, 2008

The concept behind The Faded Line Clothing Co. is based on their love for apparel and their appreciation (obsession) of art. Why not further juxtapose them to make an impressive clothing line? That’s what they did.

The Faded Line Clothing Co

Brad Mastrine has been an Art Director in the music industry for about 10 years and launched the clothing line in 2007. They are working with many of the top rock poster artists from the last two decades who have created gig posters for bands like Tool, Ween, The Flaming Lips, Pearl Jam and the Pixies, to only name a few… Collectively they’ve worked with thousands of bands around the world and have won countless awards from their work from Pollstar, the Independent Music Awards, and have been featured in other notable publications such as CNN and Rolling Stone magazine.

In addition, they have had work displayed in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Hard Rock Cafes, and Art Galleries throughout the world. The illustrations and careful merchandise production techniques speak for itself.

The Faded Line concept is to bring these artists, all of which are known worldwide already, into the forefront rather than in the shadow of a band’s name.

The Faded Line Clothing Co

To date with virtually no marketing or advertising, they have had orders from all around the world (Australia, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Japan, Sweden, UK) and across the US. The line has definitely created a buzz and are bringing a new counterculture to the masses. Their customers are not only art collectors but are very passionate about high fashion, live music, vinyl and plush designer toys, and anything pop culture related.

They have shown us that more people are becoming increasingly more interested in the designs, rather than having something with a band’s name.

It’s a relief to know that people are now getting more interested in designs of the t-shirts that fit an overall “rock” theme especially for some of the smaller (and I mean the smallest) t-shirt startups because we just simply can’t afford licensing for any big bands that sell lots of merch…
