Hello from Trouble/Tease

May 15th, 2008

They are Troy Mattison Hicks and Stephano Diaz and they make their shirts in Long Island City Ny:

“We print with spektrum tempests fun, futuristic, and retroactive creatures - wierd and brutish yet cutesy and sweet.  Flower picking one-eyed burnout ufo seekers finding harmony between what is natural and what is digital.

Hello from Trouble/Tease

Triple-arm metrosexual moon dwelers hitching rides with machine elves. Flowers rising to the pull of radioactive fingers.

We advertise with sparkling crystaline sea waters and pastel skies of shimmering moving disks.  Beautiful world of squiggles and motion.  Models with no faces so you can zero in on what’s on the shirt, that he/she pointing up at the sky, with multiple eyeballs fluttering.

Hello from Trouble/Tease

We connect with late-nite tweakers and extraterrestrial seekers. We would like to connect with the people of Japan”.

Rethink clothing

May 15th, 2008

Andy Meyer, Rethink clothing :

“The whole T-shirt business for me came about after the realization that I wanted to wear something different.

Rethink clothing

The whole idea of seeing groups of people wearing the same tired designs and slogans frustrated me.

What frustrated me even more was seeing the amount of money college students spend on clothes only to see nothing in return. That is the idea here; we employ college artists and sell a high quality product at prices a college student can afford.

Rethink clothing

The T-shirts and clothes are designed by college students for anyone who wants a top quality, fresh design, and all at an affordable price”.

“I like using college artists since it seems they still have a heart for design and want to make something they want to wear. Every artist I have worked has had an awesome attitude and helped create a great shirt.

Rethink clothing

Other than that ReThink started selling earlier this year. Its been a fun road and I have met some awesome people so far. I just dropped two more shirts, “Sluggin Supial” and “Mechanism Schism”.

Rethink clothing

In the future I plan on releasing some hoodies and maybe even a polo. It is still a one man show so getting everything together can take some time. Also I keep shipping rates flat 3 dollars U.S and 6 dollars anywhere else in the world no matter how many shirts ordered”.

nümph

May 15th, 2008

Can we both look fabulous and feminine and help more bears return to
the wild?

nümph

Yes, because the creative young women from nümph now design this summer’s It item, a top in pure organic cotton.

The entire profits go to WSPA, the international animal protection organization, working among other things for bears’ right to a decent life.

Naketano

May 13th, 2008

Naketano is the name of an idea, a certain conception of what it is that defines truly genuine streetfashion design.

NAKETANO

On this particular subject, one will come across as many varying opinions as there are fashion designers and those who consider themselves designers.

NAKETANO

In the eyes of Nicole Christensen, Naketano´s head designer, a fashion designer receives ultimate accolade when a piece of clothing becomes a favourite piece.

NAKETANO

When one buys and wears other garments solely to combine them with the one, the favourite piece. Whoever craves to wear one item constantly (if possible or hygienically bearable), on any occasion and in all possible and impossible combinations, awards that item´s designer to the max and, at the same time, defines the benchmark Naketano perpetually aims to reach.

Ladies gear at Karmaloop !

May 8th, 2008

A ton of new ladies gear just came out on Karmaloop and we wanted to let you know about it: new brands galore and really hot clothes from Pa:nnu, Princess of the Posse, and SSUR sister Goumada.

Goumada
Owned and founded by Yuko Ogino, with Russell of SSUR as one of the brand’s designers (Goumada is the sister company to SSUR Plus).

Karmaloop

Ssur’s fine art is becoming a phenomenon with the Ssur clothing line; now Goumada incorporates the SSUR stylings for all the ladies.

Karmaloop

The design principles of the first collection are luxury and elegance, using fine embroidery and mythic imagery to balance the luxury aspect with sneaker culture so that the clothes can be worn with kicks or heels.

Pa:nnu
pa:nuu has in less than two years, rapidly spread across the globe with a clothing range for both sexes and is now represented in more than 22 countries. pa:nuu is not based on analysis, market research, color scales, trend boards or the likes thereof.

Karmaloop

On the contrary pa:nuu was born out of love for simple but powerful graphic expressions and prints. With inspiration from the colorful universe of the 80’s pa:nuu takes you on a journey to a time where “space invaders” was the coolest game in the world, Michael Jackson had an afro and George Bush was a simple alcoholic.

Karmaloop

Princess of The Posse
A few years ago, a song came on over the radio as some friends were re-imagining the world in a pre-bobo Bushwick loft. That song was PRINCESS OF THE POSSE by Queen Latifah.

Karmaloop

That was it, the lyrics depicted exactly who P.O.P was and who they would dress; a woman true to herself, to her style and to her people. A powerful blend of street swag and sophistication.
