Springleap : "Inspire Courage" design contest
Springleap is a platform created in 2008 for people passionate about design where they can express themselves through designing, voting and commenting on designs.
Since the 3rd Augustus, Springleap, in association with Cape Town Fashion Council and the NGO "Positive Heroes", is running a design contest with a conscience and for a good cause called " Inspire Courage".
The main aim of this contest is to raise awareness and reduce the stigma and the shame still surrounding HIV and AIDS, leading up to the Annual Positive Heroes Fashion Event to be held in Cape Town, South Africa in November.
“By challenging the Springleap design community to use their skills around the theme of ‘Inspire Courage‘, we offer them an opportunity to help inspire courage in anyone affected by HIV. “Regardless of their status”, commented Springleap CEO, Eran Eyal. Designs should illustrate courage in daily life, a positive outlook, and show how acceptance is key to ending the stigma around the HIV epidemic. Designs should embody the Positive Heroes concept of “ordinary people living extraordinary lives”, and should inspire people to get tested, to seek or offer support, take their medication, and live in an atmosphere free of fear, shame and discrimination.
