Workout Bunnies - Strong, Fit & United

Portland, OR, USA – Workout Bunnies is a new social-networking site designed around finding workout partners in your area. Company founder, Samuel Brackeen, IV sought out a talented illustrator to design the their line of t-shirts to be launched along with the new site. “I want you to be able to walk up to someone on the street wearing one of our shirts and be able to talk to them about their workout goals,” says Brackeen of their t-shirt line. He found Artist, Designer and Illustrator, Sara “The Kerrminator” Kerr and the two worked together to devise the various bunnie illustrations.

“We wanted to start with some popular Northwest-area sports to solidify our roots here in the Northwest because I know that’s important to Samuel,” says Kerr. “I also feel that Samuel’s experience in the US military has deep roots in the way he wants to brand this company. There’s something about recognizing a piece of military uniform on someone, instantly having a reason to strike up a conversation with them and ask about their experience. We wanted to do a similar thing with the Workout Bunnies shirts; something with meaning behind it while being friendly and approachable; breaking down barriers and seeing each other as partners.”

Their tagline “Strong, Fit, & United” pretty much sums up what they’re all about. They want to create a hub where people can easily access committed individuals that can help them achieve their goals, that will push each other to strive for better health, and create community.

The site and apps are in early development, but are functional so you can sign up and start using them to find workout partners near you. The app is currently only available for Android, but iPhone users can expect to see the Workout Bunnies app available around the end of August.
