Swimmers I: The secrets of Norma and Neli

Under a vegetable garland, Norma and Neli embraced themselves for a long while and had a conversation ear-to-ear until a noise frightened them, they dip in and their figures got lost in the lagoon. These two beauties never discovered that they were portrayed.

Swimmers II: Nancy thinks

It was never revealed what kept Nancy so thoughtful. During all this session, she stared at her feet under the water, without speaking. Not even to answer rutinary questions.

Swimmers III: Nomi floats

In this portrait, the Octopus requested Nomi to stay floating for a while. She felt her face wasn`t visible enough and her legs and arms got severe cramps.

Started in 2007, MIMIJUDE™ is the brain-child of Kristine McDermott, a BFA graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago

MIMIJUDE™ was founded with the mission to provide an original, high quality product while maintaining strong community involvement.

A portion of each MIMIJUDE™ product sale is deposited to MIMIJUDE™ LOVES YOU, a fund established to annually sponsor events and peer-support programs for children who have a parent with cancer or have lost a parent to cancer, when possible specifically young ladies whose mothers have been affected by the disease.

During Kristine’s sophomore year in college, her mother, Judith, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, commonly referred to as bone marrow cancer. After fighting the disease for three years, her mother passed just five days shy of Kristine’s 21st birthday.

Before passing Kristine’s mother expressed one wish to her daughter, for Kristine not to become angry over her death. A hard feat to accomplish, Kristine focused on that wish during her last two years of college and found herself creating a cartoon character named Mimi.

Mimi served as a form of art therapy and an outlet for Kristine to express her grief and frustration. Seven years later, Mimi took on a life of her own and is the character that the MIMIJUDE™ brand is centered around.

LVL, a french streetwear brand created by members of the art collective Level-Art just arrived with 3 huuuge designs @ Creme de la creme !!
