“Hot Chip Loves Threadless” is a chance for the fans of the British dance-floor dynamos to create original t-shirt designs and win a grand prize of exclusive Hot Chip prizing including two thousand bucks and a Korg keyboard.

The theme for design submissions is “Made in the Dark (Glow-in-the-Dark Ink)” and fans can submit their Hot Chip-inspired designs at Threadless, the original online tee shirt design community. Entries will be judged by creativity, so fans and designers should look to the latest Hot Chip album Made in the Dark for inspiration.

In sum, the designer of the tee that’s chosen will receive $2000 in cash, a MicroKorg keyboard, a $500 Threadless.com gift certificate, a 2′ x 2′ album image of Made in the Dark signed by the band, Hot Chip’s full catalog (with a DVD) and a gift pack courtesy of Astralwerks, along with having their design printed by Threadless !

The Japanese Design Tshirts store graniph is arranging the international T-shirts design award vol.2 from the 1st of February until the 31st of March 2008.

Inspired by Lupe Fiasco’s current album “The Cool“, applicants are to submit a design that best conveys what’s “cool” to them.

The winner will receive $500 Cash and a $500 Karmaloop Gift Certificate for a total value of $1000 in prizes.

Be creative and design Europe’s next successful shoe model! Be part of the CEC European research community. The best submissions will be honoured! The contest task is to design a shoe model according to the design-topic called “Original Origin”. This category of aesthetic trends expresses cultural values and regional roots and techniques and at the same time uses authentic materials and innovative shapes.

The contest is a research project without commercial background. It is being supported by the CEC-Made-Shoe Project funded by the European Commission. It is conducted by TUM Business School, Chair for Information, Organisation and Management, Munich and Fraunhofer Institut für Arbeitswirtschaft und Organisation (IAO), Stuttgart.

The submissions are evaluated by a top-class jury consisting of international shoe and design experts from the European industry: Hugo Boss, Switzerland - CallagHan, Spain - Liitto, Finland - Future Concept Lab, Italy - Frau, Italy.

The best submissions will be honored with great prizes: E.g. you can win a visit in Morrovalle/Italy to get a prototype of your design and to gain insight into shoe prototyping process.
