Neon Genesis 777 is an experiment, a project in which we take a leap in a new direction. This project is about having more fun with design, so in came the pop colours, the Engrish (Japanese misuse of English), the neon. We also introduced Terra, the Terratag Toy-bot, a characterisation of the Terratag ‘T’ logo.

What influenced the Neon Genesis 777 range?

Terratag has an affinity with Japan and how I absorb and adapt that cultural input will be the future. It has to be one in which a distinct visual language is generated.

This shirt is inspired by the 700 American soldiers in the 10th Mtn. Div., 4th battalion, 31st regiment (the “Polar Bears”).

You Are Not Forgotten

On May 12, 2007 they suffered a horrible loss - in one night 4 of their fellow soldiers were killed and 3 were kidnapped.

In the darkness of that night terrorists hope to demoralize and scare the 4-31. They failed. Polar Bear soldiers responded heroically-and launched one of the largest search and rescue missions in history.

They demonstrated that they are not just brothers in name, but brothers in deed.

Their service is not forgotten and nor are the two fellow soldiers for whom the search continues.
