Moog Royale

Moog Royale

Moog Royale is a limited edition graphic clothes label created by Mark Etherington and Si Hollington in 2008.

Moog Royale

Moog Royale are a pair of conjoined twins born at different times in different countries. The left-hand-twin is called Mark: 33-years-old, born in Switzerland for some reason,
has been a designer for over a decade, lives in Kent and is the same height as a small horse or a large dog. The
right-hand-twin is called Si: Born in England, is three years younger, has been a designer for nearly a decade,
lives in Kent and is the same height as an average horse or a MK 56 Guided Missile…

Moog Royale

Moog Royale’s foundations are two friends wanting their clothes to be better designed and better made. In the words of Si, “We wanted to design tees that we’d want to wear. We got such good feedback that we’re now designing them for you. We’re also very proud of the fact that where possible we ensure our clothes are carbon neutral and sweatshop free and we make sure all our designs are printed here in the UK.”

Moog Royale

In a world where fashion follows distinct trends, Moog Royale offers a refreshing antidote; clean, unique and bold graphic threads. Mark adds, “Everybody wants what no one else has, that’s why Moog Royale won’t be found in loads of high street shops, we’re very selective aboutwhere Moog Royale is stocked. We don’t mass produce, every design is a limited run, some more limited than others.”

One Man Band news

May 13th, 2009

This is the latest T shirt designed by One Man Band.

One Man Band

It was originally designed as a response to all the doom and gloom surrounding the credit crunch, but is now just as relevant for the concerns surrounding the flu outbreak.

They wanted a T shirt that conveyed a positive message that would hopefully cheer up those that saw it.

The T shirt is in a limited edition of 500 and priced at £15.

This is the t-shirt of the week!

May 11th, 2009

And now…we have chosen the winner! For a limited time only, get yours only at Karmaloop. Winning design by Barrios, features a stenciled steezed out pair of kicks! No need to rock it with gold and a pager but we kind of recommend it!

Jessica Hill

May 10th, 2009

Jessica is a painter and designer in Nashville. She went to art school in Philadelphia and worked for goodandevil skateboard company at the world famous Space 1026.

Jessica

Jessica:

“As a painter and designer, I am most interested in color and layout. I went to school in Philadelphia where I got a BFA in Graphic Design. I had the great pleasure of working for a skateboard company while there, where I helped with layout, color separations, etc. While there I was exposed to some amazing emerging artists who are now featured in magazines such as Juxtapoz. They showed me paintings and silk screens that were unconventional, funny, smart and different.

Jessica

I always loved painting things that I thought were amusing or interesting, but uncomplicated and affordable. I am interested in shape, color, layout and fun. I like my work to be affordable and approachable. Although the work looks simple, a lot of thought goes into each piece. Everywhere I show it, I always get a different response which is always interesting to me. I recently started doing magazine illustrations as well for publications such as Bejeezus, Barrelhouse, MungBeing, and Bootleg magazine”.

21Grams

May 4th, 2009

21Grams

In 1907 a Doctor in Massachusetts conducted a number of experiments on dying patients to determine the weight of the human soul.

21Grams

The Doctor found that the patients lost small amounts of weight in the three hours leading up to their death as they lost moisture.

21Grams

At the exact point of their death the patients lost 21 grams, giving the human soul the weight of 21 grams.

21Grams

Over 100 years later Andrew and Shaun have launched the Urban Streetwear label “21Grams” the soul collection company. 21Grams is commited to producing a range of risky designs, they make clothes others wouldn’t dare to.
