Not NY

June 18th, 2007

“We’re brimming with Philadelphia pride. Our celebrated city bubbles with cheesesteak grease, melting water ice, and the fallen salt of gristly soft pretzels. We’re stuffed with a rich history that plumps our streets with the dignity of our revolutionary ancestors. We’ve got so much tickling the tips of our fingers; we don’t need to fondle our dear northerly neighbor, New York City.

We’re fine with proclamations that you heart’ NY. We even enjoy occasional strolls through the LES and Carroll Gardens. However, when it comes time to cozy up in the familiarity of home, we always lay our sleepy skeletons to bed in the City of Brotherly Love.

To ooze with brazen Philadelphia self-respect, [ 2 one 5 ] struts out our “Not NY” t-shirt and fitted hat with the cheeriness of a Mummer’s Brigade. Inspired by our surrounding, these items boast the same thick hide that’s weathered Charles Barkley, Live Aid, and John Street. We are a socially alert, musically talented, and culturally pulsing creature. We are Philadelphia. We are Proud “.

Fader Magazine,

June 11th, 2007

The latest issue of The FADER Magazine (issue 46) is out and features Jerry Garcia on the cover. Specifically, it’s the annual Icons/Photography issue.

To commemorate the release, a limited edition FADER/Jerry Garcia t-shirt is being produced along with a limited edition poster which showcases a family tree of sorts; band’s that influenced the Grateful Dead and the bands that were influenced by the Dead.

Both of these items are available for purchase (T-Shirt and Poster).

Also, in case you were interested, you can download the entire issue for FREE. Not only that, but you can also get an accompanying audio mix to go along with it (also free).

Founded by Rob Stone and Jon Cohen in 1998, The FADER magazine is the definitive voice of emerging music and the lifestyle that surrounds it. Through in-depth reporting and a distinct street sensibility, The FADER aggressively covers the most dynamic breadth of music and style emanating from the fringes of the mainstream to the heart of the underground, and was also the first publication in history to be released on iTunes. The FADER is the authority on what’s next.
