Children

October 28th, 2008

CHILDREN was founded by Rob Flate, a DJ and artist born and raised in Los Angeles.

Children

Since 2004 CHILDREN has been making a presence on the streetwear scene in and around LA in stores like Workmens, El Mercado, Backside, Routes, Paliskates and more. Recently Rob took on a partner, Bryan Davidson, who was an executive at FUCT in their prime. Bryan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to CHILDREN that they are using to really push the line to the next level.

Children

Both Rob and Bryan were raised in the 80s and 90s and are fans of the music and skate scenes that developed at those times. CHILDREN’s designs are inspired by music, hip hop, and skate and street culture. They aim to produce clothing that is not only current, hip and cool, but classic and refined. CHILDREN aims to make clothes that won’t go out of style and can still be worn in 5 or 10 years.

Children

The name “CHILDREN” represents the ideas of expansion, growth, betterment and change. There are only two states of existence: expansion and contraction. We’re either getting better or worse; there is no static. The CHILDREN message is about the creation of the future, the building of tomorrow and the recognition of the great individuals and artists that helped us get here.

The Gulaschbaron

The Gulaschbaron Label was founded in 2006 in Hamburg Altona by Hauke Neumann. The idea is to promote and release small series of limited edition T-Shirts, posters or whatever.

Hauke, The Gulaschbaron:

“The style I love is a mixture between all kind of asskicking, Avant-Garde DIY Style, funky-hot-as-hell, incredibly strange styled designs. I started with an online shop, but in December the Gulaschbaron opened a store in Hamburg, St.Pauli.

The Gulaschbaron

Living and working at the same place is the slogan of the little shop community conisting of Gulaschbaron, Annemamel and Ahoi Marie. It’s a creative mixture between screenprinting garage, tailor’s workroom and a place to hang out with our friends”.

“In our shop we have some additional independant brands like Yackfou, Squidfire, Owl Movement, Seibei, A better tomorrow or some prints from the artists Mateo and Johan Potma“.

The Gulaschbaron

“For the Gulaschbaron artist series we worked together with such designers like Bongout, Tanxxx, Michael DeForge, Mara Piccione, Martin Krusche or our newest release Hawl Krall.

The Gulaschbaron

Every design strictly limited.

CHIT - Founded by Todd L. Perry II in Sept. 2005.The brand is currently run by Todd L. Perry and Director of Operations, Tony L. Hall.CHIT stands for Creativity Helps Innovate Trends.

C.H.I.T.

Perry CHIT :

“It’s a brand dedicated to individuality, exclusivity, and loyalty. We believe that there is a lack of individuality as it pertains to street-wear, every brand is the same with a few exceptions. Our objective is to “recreate creation” or to make our own lane within an industry that already exists. Beginning with t-shirts, crewneck sweatshirts, hoodies, and hats.

C.H.I.T.

We eventually plan to begin our cut and sewn line. With a solid fan-base established in a few cities we intend to make a name in this industry”.
