Since launching 4 years ago, fashion label Eio (Excess Is Ok) has become a household name amongst fashion leaders in the music industry.



The edgy label has a cult following with high profile fans including:

The new collection, code name: “Hey Scenesters!” pays tribute to Eio’s favourite bands including Babyshambles CSS, Klaxons and the Teenagers.

The new range took inspiration from these bands music and image, reflecting the designers of Eio’s own creative journeys under the influence of the music scene and their interpretation of today’s club kids mentality of “scenesters that don’t want to be seen” - fashion culture.

As some of you may know, MAMA is designed by Gabriella “Mama” Davi-Khorasanee, 1/2 of lovely blogging duo M.I.S.S. Crew.

British Graphic designer Ben Yarwood and Thai Fashion designer Alisa Longsuwan are the team behind Your Eyes Lie.

“This is us, and that’s how we do things…trust everything apart from your eyes !”

Not for the faint of heart or fickle fashionista, Your Eyes Lie finds inspiration in the communicative and artistic reasonance of the graphic t-shirt.

These elements are combined with their quirky sense of humor and their desire to twist life inside out whilst not taking it oh so serious.

“We believe that in design, as in dancing, the fun depends more on your attitude than on actual innate ability, “It’s not how much you know, but how much you’re willing to try!”

The labels strong identity is anchored in their use of bold statements and shocking graphics leaving the wearer no choice to resist. Being an independent label the designers are not restricted in anyway, and have complete creative control over their designs.

The collections are produced and created solely by the team, from the sourcing of materials to the production of the designs, putting this duo in the unique position of having total autonomy over their garments; a rare position to inhabit, considering the climate of copy-cat designs and runway to high-street knock-offs …

They’re Hans and Fras and they started their store “Hans and Frans” a month ago :

“We try not to take ourselves too seriously, we got into this because it’s something we love to do and we want that feeling to come through in the shirts.

We are a little different from most sites out there in that we print every shirt by hand. We do that for a few reasons but mostly because we want to maintain a connection to our product and through it the people who might by it. We’d like to think that even though we mass produce, each shirt is still unique.

We design shirts in series and each series has a theme. Our first series used characters that we doodled and was about cuteness and fun and for our latest we wanted to focus on death and the skull as an icon.

The first few designs fropm that series, called MortaliTee, are up right now and there are more to come. So that’s who we are, we hope you like our stuff!”
