Don’t Call It A Comeback

The art world thrives on unity—an ironic paradox considering the introverted nature of the artist. However, this wholeness in the community grows from the strong interconnections and the inherent desire to express and impact—the dream shared by all artists.

Don’t Call It a Comeback, a bi-monthly installation series from [ 2 one 5 ] Living Proof Magazine, offers a haven for artists to re-emerge from their introspective studios, and, with limited outlets, expose their creativity.

1 Piece of expression in
1 Window where
1 Artist will show.

Each installation will invite and challenge one artist to convey a visual message that resonates through one piece to be seen in only one place. Painters, graffiti artists, illustrators, graphic designers, and photographers (including some artists featured in Living Proof) now have a unique space to showcase their work for two months among the heart of Philadelphia’s Old City galleries.

The first piece to gain residency in the space, A Desire, A Dream, A Vision, represents Nikolas Greenblatt’s aesthetic ideal contained in the real rawness of the city. The work, done on wood, features stenciled and wheat pasted graphics contrasted with fine acrylic paint and evokes Greenblatt’s desire to immerse himself in the grittiness of urban decay, his dream to find the beauty in grime and dirt, and finally his vision, which manifests through this creative piece.
