As MadeMe launches its second collection for Spring ‘08, Magee continues to fuse together the comfortable and confrontational nature of streetwear with the confidence and sex appeal of a woman.

For the Spring ‘08 collection, Magee breaks out of her shell to create a line that separates her from the rest of the streetwear industry. The collection includes stone washed denim shorts, drop crotch leggings with a vintage 70’s “op art” pattern, a cotton plaid motorcycle jacket and an array of soft graphic tees.

MadeMe is an edgy collection for the grown up girl who was raised in the age of streetwear.

“I have been designing T-shirts and other garments for Children for 5 years at fooeyusa.com. We have wanted to do an adult line for many years and finally decided the time was right so we launched Lets Be Awesome this year. I tend to design shirts that are bold and simple. I don’t try to reinvent the wheel, I just like the kind of T-shirt you can ware for 20 years.

The Radio Robot was a design I originally thought of for our kids line. I often try to design something that works for kids and adults which can be a big challenge. I don’t want to talk down to either age group, both deserve great design.

The boombox is such a classic image that works great on a shirt but I wanted to do something different with it. I drew all of the various radios which took several hours and then started to assemble them into my robot. I’m really happy with the way it turned out.”

VNA Issue 4 arrived this morning. Full colour, 52 pages and full of all the latest street art from London village. Including, Shepard Fairey, Swoon, Sweet Toof, K-Guy, Faile, Bast and many more up and coming street artists.

This Issue came complete with at least 20 stickers by various artists, eg Obey, D-Face, Snub etc. That was a nice touch, everyone loves free things!

Swimmers I: The secrets of Norma and Neli

Under a vegetable garland, Norma and Neli embraced themselves for a long while and had a conversation ear-to-ear until a noise frightened them, they dip in and their figures got lost in the lagoon. These two beauties never discovered that they were portrayed.

Swimmers II: Nancy thinks

It was never revealed what kept Nancy so thoughtful. During all this session, she stared at her feet under the water, without speaking. Not even to answer rutinary questions.

Swimmers III: Nomi floats

In this portrait, the Octopus requested Nomi to stay floating for a while. She felt her face wasn`t visible enough and her legs and arms got severe cramps.
